ENGRAI Terms of Services
Effective date: August 1, 2026
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the ENGRAI application ("ENGRAI", "App", or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the Application. ENGRAI is developed and operated by Vedant Desai as an individual developer ("Developer", "we", "us", "our", or "I").
Apple's Standard End User License Agreement
The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your license to download and use the App is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
The Terms supplement outlined below do not replace Apple's Standard EULA. Apple's Standard EULA controls concerning the license and use of the App on Apple devices.
1. Usage & Age Restriction (18+)
ENGRAI IS STRICTLY RESTRICTED TO USERS WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.
By accessing or using ENGRAI, you represent and warrant that:
1. You are at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction).
2. You possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. You will comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws when using the Application.
If you are under 18 years of age, you are expressly prohibited from downloading, installing, or using ENGRAI.
1.1 User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct
As a user of ENGRAI, you are entirely responsible for your conduct and any data or interactions processed through the Application. You agree not to use ENGRAI for:
- Any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose under applicable local, national, or international law.
- Generating or using the App for any content depicting, describing, or sexualizing minors (individuals under 18 years of age), including but not limited to fictional depictions, age regression scenarios, or "aged down" characters.
- Content depicting or promoting sexual violence, rape, non-consensual acts, and other purposeful unlawful conduct.
- Violating the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policies, or API usage guidelines of any third-party API provider you connect through ENGRAI.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or modify any portion of the ENGRAI application binary, except as permitted by applicable law.
- Using the Application in a manner that compromises the security, functionality, or integrity of your device or third-party services.
- Using the Application in a manner that defames any public figure or realistic individual.
- To engage with the Application as a substitute for professional services and any other activity that is not solely for the purpose of fictional or lawful creative work.
YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ENGRAI PROVIDES A UTILITY TO ENGAGE IN CONVERSATIONS WITH CHOSEN LARGE LANGUAGE INFERENCE MODELS. THESE ARE STATISTICAL MODELS FOR EXTRAPOLATIVE GENERATION OF OUTPUT. THESE TOOLS DO NOT REPRESENT HUMAN IDENTITIES OR ALIGN WITH HUMAN SOCIALIZATION.
1.2 Geographic Restrictions
The App may not be available in all countries or regions. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all local laws and regulations.
2. Description of Application & Architecture
2.1 Local On-Device Architecture
ENGRAI is a standalone client application. The Developer does not host, maintain, or operate backend application servers, databases, or API proxy services for content generation.
No Cloud Storage: Your content (character cards, chat histories, images, settings, and preferences) is stored exclusively on your device's local storage.
No Data Transmission or Storage: We do not collect, transmit, upload, or store your content on our servers.
No Analytics or Tracking: We do not implement analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry that transmits usage data to us. Your privacy is a right we value.
Offline Functionality: Core features may work without an internet connection. However, depending on your provider, you may be required to connect to the internet.
2.2 Third Party API Integration
No API Keys Provided: The Developer does not provide API keys, API credits, or model access. These integrations require you to provide your own API keys and are subject to the respective providers' terms of service and privacy policies.
Direct Connections: All network requests, prompts, and model responses occur directly between your device and the third-party API providers or local endpoints you configure within the Application. ENGRAI does not store, track, or access your information.
3. Privacy
The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information with the Developer.
The App contains no developer-operated analytics, advertising, tracking, login, or cloud-storage system.
Apple may separately process information relating to the App Store, downloads, device diagnostics, or other Apple services under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

4. Device Data Loss
Since the App creates or stores information locally, that information remains under the control of the user's device.
The Developer does not possess a server-side copy and cannot restore lost information. Information may be lost through deletion of the App, device failure, operating-system changes, software errors, or device replacement.
Users are responsible for maintaining separate copies of important information.
5. Availability and Updates
The Developer may publish updates but does not promise continued development, maintenance, compatibility, support, or future updates.
An installed copy may stop functioning because of device, operating-system, or App Store changes outside the Developer's control.
6. No Warranty
ENGRAI IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FREEDOM FROM COMPUTER VIRUSES OR BUGS.
THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
THE APPLICATION WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
THE OPERATION OF THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
THE OUTPUT GENERATED BY THIRD-PARTY MODELS WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR APPROPRIATE.
7. Content Reporting System
If the user-selected LLM output is inconsistent or unsatisfactory, users are encouraged to report the response using the in-app support feature. The Developer does not guarantee consistent output, given the nature of LLM inference being user-provided.
How reporting works:
You select "Report Message" from the contextual menu for a message.
The App opens your device's email client with a pre-filled report.
You may add additional context.
You choose whether to send the report.

What reports may include:
The reported message content text.
Character/persona name.
Timestamp.
App version.
Your additional comments.
Important: Reports are only transmitted if you explicitly choose to send them via your email client. I do not automatically collect or transmit any content. Submitting a report is entirely voluntary.
7.1 How Are Reports Used
Because your chats, characters, and generated content stay on your device and are never sent to the Developer, the App cannot:
- Associate reported content with a person.
- Remove content from users' devices.
- Ban or suspend users.
Reports help to:
Identify potential issues with app functionality.
Demonstrate good-faith compliance efforts.
Respond to legal obligations if illegal content is reported (e.g., CSAM reporting to NCMEC).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of information, device functionality, opportunities, or profits arising from use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that can't lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for volitional deception.
9. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Developer is resident at the relevant time, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your own country of residence give you stronger rights. Nothing here removes your right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under those mandatory laws.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll make a reasonable effort to flag it. Continuing to use ENGRAI after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you'd like a previous version, you can request it at the address below.
