What makes ENGRAI different from a general roleplay frontend?

ENGRAI is intentionally tuned for character-specific, slice-of-life roleplay. Its handmade prompt engine connects structured character data and visual scene controls so you can direct nuanced everyday stories without writing prompt syntax.

What does BYOK mean?

Bring Your Own Key means you connect your own credentials for a supported AI provider. Provider availability, pricing, limits, and output policies remain governed by that provider.

Do I need to write prompts?

No. ENGRAI is designed around GUI-heavy controls for tone, pacing, intent, continuity, character details, and scene direction. The prompt engine assembles those choices behind the interface.

How is character and scene data handled?

Your characters, personas, conversations, API keys, and settings are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your chats and characters can sync across your devices through your private iCloud account. When you use a connected AI provider, the text and context needed to generate a reply go directly from your device to that provider. The developer does not receive your content.

Is ENGRAI available on the App Store?

Yes. You can download ENGRAI on the App Store. ENGRAI is free; any API charges are set by the model provider you choose.

Is ENGRAI affiliated with SillyTavern or model providers?

No affiliation is implied. ENGRAI is an independent product with its own slice-of-life focus and interface. Any provider names or marks are used only to describe compatibility.
